Morning Dew
These pictures were taken at Putrajaya Wetlands with a loaned D80. Love the camera, but the whole set up was quite heavy so my pictures were prone to hand shake, what a shame! Everything was shoot in full auto mode as I didn't have the time to be familiar with the controls. Enjoy!

Bullfrog?
I think it's a bullfrog, the guy(girl?) sure has a loud cry! It sounded very much like a bull too, if not for that I would've overlooked the bullfrog pond in the Butterfly Park :-p

Busy Busy Busy
Yellow Birdwing (Troides Helena).
This is my favourite shot from the Butterfly Park trip the other day. Reason? Movement! It's hard enough chasing a hyperactive butterfly through the electronic viewfinder, more so when done on maximum zoom (~432mm). It was a super lucky shot as my camera just happened to be pointing at the right direction in my confusion to find the butterfly and it just happened to fly into view. I didn't even know what I shot, it's more of a reflex action in clicking the shutter once I sensed movement. I especially like how sharp the legs and flowers are in contrast to the wings, it's my best movement shot yet ^_^

Butterfly #5
This is one of my favourite photo as it required the least editing, meaning I got it right on camera heheh.
These pictures were taken on my trip to Butterfly Park last Sunday. Gaussian Blur was applied on all pictures for the soft, dreamy and old world feel so don't go asking me why they are not sharp ok?

Butterfly #1
Edit: I read in a postcard today that this butterfly is called Raja Brooke and apparently it's Malaysia's national butterfly. I didn't know that! :D

Wacom
My new toy, the Wacom Graphire4 :-D
Hey after saving up for so long and spent countless nights dreaming about it I think I deserve to brag a lil', also love the classy looking pen stand. If the low-end Graphire range already look this sleek, then the high-end Intuos must be SEXY!

Stairs
Taken with Nikon F3.
I tried capturing this scene last time with FZ5 but the lens wasn't wide enough, had poor dynamic range and couldn't handle the low light situation. I said to myself then I would photograph the place again once I have a SLR, I honestly didn't expect I was able to fulfill that promise so soon :) Glad it turned out nicely!

Crepuscular Light Again
The strongest crepuscular light I've ever seen, it's as if someone is shining a spotlight from behind the clouds. It was taken the same day as the one here, but I've saved this one for special occasions hehe.
My photoblog is officially 1 year old! Throughout these time many people came and went, but I am most grateful towards those that stayed and even took the time to comment. Thank you!

National Monument
"Dedicated to the heroic fighters in the cause of peace and freedom, may the blessing of Allah be upon them."
These words are engraved on the altar which the statue stood. Click here to look at how the statue look like, not a picture I'm proud of... Which is why today's picture won a place in the hall of fame instead. (Taken with Nikon F3 and Tamron lens at 200mm.)
Happy 49th Birthday Malaysia!

Misty Hill
I woke up at 6.30am last Saturday to catch the sunrise. There wasn't a good one because of the haze but this photo made everything worthwhile :)
Finally, pictures from the F3! Before you judge them please allow me, the excusologist™ to make a few, well... Excuses :D These photos were shot using a normal consumer Fujifilm Superia X-Tra 400 negatives and a rather old seldom used (fungi infested) Tamron 28-200mm/f3.5-f22. Most of the photos came out with Cyan coloured tint on the edges of the photo, which I have no idea why. Some were so bad I had to convert the pictures into black and white so they wouldn't be so obvious. My point is, F3 probably could've done better if a better film and lens were used. Maybe could use the hands of a better photographer as well >_<

Chairs
They seem kind of lonely at the moment, but not for long! Pretty soon students will swarm this area just outside the library to do their revision.

B/W Building
Taken using a Nokia 3650.
I'm bored with my usual routine in photography, which explains the lack of photos lately so now I'm experimenting (read: playing) with a camera phone. Today's picture turn out rather nicely :-)

Deep fried pork luncheon meat, crunchy on the outside and succulent on the inside... *Gulp*, ok I'm going to have them again for dinner! (Damn they look good).

Just Another Day in Paradise
Is it obvious I'm running out of good pictures to post? Sorry for the delay :-p Hope I can meet up with the F3 owner ASAP so can have the b/w film developed...

Star of the Day
I like dragonflies, they are not afraid of humans and respond well to cameras. This one kept cocking its head to check me out as I take tonnes of its photos :-)

Nikon F3
The camera I'm currently in love with, Nikon F3. Here it's fitted with a Nikkor 50mm/1.8 lens and a Hoya UV filter (I think).

Roof
One year ago, I brought the FZ5 home today :-) I was so excited with finally owning a digital camera after wanting one for years, not to mention FZ5 was my dream camera that time. The first difference I noticed among film cameras and digital ones are how the latter was more prone to camera shake. This picture of a roof is very significant to me because it was the first successful blur free picture I took that day, also I like the simplicity of everything. It was a sign of good things to come :-)

B/W Bridge
So how's the black and white series this week? I originally planned to post more but this has been a very busy and exhausting week for me, maybe next time! :-)
