Kopitiam

Nikon D40 @ 18mm, ISO200, f4.5, 1/80 sec.
My friend's favourite kopitiam located in the heart of old KL. I could see why, the food was delicious as well as affordable~ He also mentioned how peculiar it was to catch the place empty and presented us with a great opportunity for photography :-)

A Rainy Night in KL

Nikon D40 @ 34mm, ISO1600, f4.5, 1/15 sec (Handheld).
I originally wanted to venture across the street to shoot the multitude of colourful lights dangling from the trees, but the drizzle made it impossible. So I shot this from the hotel instead.

KLCC Revisited

Nikon D40 @ 18mm, ISO200, f9, 1/320 sec
KLCC was the number one place I wanted to visit in Kuala Lumpur. When that wish came true, I used to hang out there every weekend just sitting at the park admiring the gigantic architecture. During my vacation to KL last year, I spent some time at the park paying tribute to the good old times. I still love the place :-)

PS: I still couldn't get all of the building into the frame even though I was shooting from the furthest end of the frontal park with an 18mm lens heheh.

Cute Toys

Nokia N82 @ ISO 100, automatic mode.
The Sylvanian Family line. There used to be a shop displaying them in their full glory (click here for an example from the official website) and I enjoyed admiring them every time I was at Suria KLCC. Unfortunately that particular store no longer exists and to my knowledge the line can only be bought at Isetan KLCC. I picked up a squirrel one for my best friend :-)

One of the entries for the Gundam Model Kits Challenge 2009 held in Sungei Wang. I had a great time photographing the models, made me glad I brought the DSLR along :-D

Late Night Visitor

Nikon D40 @ 55mm, ISO1600, f5.6, 1/13 sec (handheld).
We heard meowing outside our hotel room in the middle of the night and found this cat skulking about. I wonder if it's the same cat as this? :-)

One of the popular landmarks in Malaysia. It was built in 1897 inspired by Moorish architecture with a copper dome and a 40m high clock tower. The building is now occupied by the Supreme Court and Textile Museum.
