Borders

Nikon D40 @ 38mm, ISO320, f4.8, 1/15 sec
Borders at Berjaya Times Square, used to be my favourite bookstore in KL. They were unique in encouraging customers to browse by preparing lots of seats and having unwrapped books. I love their bargain sections too and managed to get good deals sometimes.

Unfortunately, during my trip there recently I found out the two storeys store was downsized to just a single storey and it had affected the selection available. I was sad, it felt like I have lost a good friend :-(

Gundam

Nikon D40 @ 32mm, ISO560, f4.5, 1/15 sec
One of the entries for the Gundam Model Kits Challenge 2009 held in Sungei Wang. I had a great time photographing the models, made me glad I brought the DSLR along :-D

Late Night Visitor

Nikon D40 @ 55mm, ISO1600, f5.6, 1/13 sec (handheld).
We heard meowing outside our hotel room in the middle of the night and found this cat skulking about. I wonder if it's the same cat as this? :-)

KKIA Waiting Area

Nikon D40 @ 20mm, ISO200, f6.3, 1/160 sec.
There was a stunning soft light shining into the waiting area, but I don't think I was able to capture it :-/

KKIA Facade

Nikon D40 @ 18mm, ISO200, f8, 1/30 sec.
The design of Kota Kinabalu International Airport reminds me a lot of Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Thanks to that, I like it here because it made me feel as if I am back in KL, a city I miss dearly.

KKIA Parking

Nikon D40 @ 18mm, ISO200, f8, 1/500 sec.
I'm back from my week long vacation to Kuala Lumpur. Since I've been posting outdated pictures in the photoblog, I'm going to put everything aside for now and post the vacation pictures first in chronological order :-)

PS: I only brought the kit lens with me as it was a shopping oriented trip. It was more than enough, I never missed the heavy 18-200VR ;-)
