ROOAAAR!!!

Nikon D40 @ 50mm, ISO200, f1.8, 1/320 sec

This is a photo of my handsome black cat yawning :D

It was a candid capture when I was testing the 50mm/f1.8 from a distance away. Quite proud of how it turned out considering I had to focus manually!

Since it was a prime lens, the photo had superb detail and had no problem having most of it cropped out. Love the lens!

♥ p.s. A belated Chinese New Year greeting from my mini panther!

Fenix E05

Nikon D40 @ 200mm, ISO200, f16, 1/5 sec
Recently bought a high quality everyday carry (EDC) flashlight.  The Fenix E05 utilizes a high intensity Cree XP-E LED that produces a bright but comfortable flood beam.  The E05 uses a single 1.5V AAA battery, as shown in the photo. Although small in size, it has a solid build.

Smokin'!

Nikon D40 @ 75mm, ISO200, f5.3, 1/200 sec
A car drifting competition held during Pesta Rumbia in Kuala Penyu at 9th July 2011. It was organised by Kinabalu Sportscar Owners' Club (KSOC). The daredevil in the red car had some insane driving skills and was the only one to smoke the tyres this much. Thus it was no wonder he was the spectators' favourite that day!

Wild Orchids

Nikon D40 @ 200mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/800 sec
I couldn't resist the soft light shining upon the wild orchids(I think) so I had to photograph them. It is a shame the flowers only bloom for one day.

Ipoh Railway Station

Nikon D40 @ 20mm, ISO200, f6.3, 1/160 sec.
The empty corridor of Ipoh Railway Station with a design looking a lot like KL Station. It was very peaceful and breezy the day I took this photo :-)

Kopitiam

Nikon D40 @ 18mm, ISO200, f4.5, 1/80 sec.
My friend's favourite kopitiam located in the heart of old KL. I could see why, the food was delicious as well as affordable~ He also mentioned how peculiar it was to catch the place empty and presented us with a great opportunity for photography :-)

A Rainy Night in KL

Nikon D40 @ 34mm, ISO1600, f4.5, 1/15 sec (Handheld).
I originally wanted to venture across the street to shoot the multitude of colourful lights dangling from the trees, but the drizzle made it impossible. So I shot this from the hotel instead.

Gundam

Nikon D40 @ 32mm, ISO560, f4.5, 1/15 sec
One of the entries for the Gundam Model Kits Challenge 2009 held in Sungei Wang. I had a great time photographing the models, made me glad I brought the DSLR along :-D
